ONE PLUMBING TEAM FOR ALL OF MISSISSAUGA

Mississauga grew from a string of villages into one of the largest cities in Canada in about fifty years, and you can read that history in its pipes. Port Credit, Lakeview, Cooksville, Applewood and Streetsville have homes from the 1950s and 60s with clay or cast iron sewer laterals under mature trees. Erin Mills and Meadowvale were planned in the 1970s and 80s, so their original fixtures, shut-off valves and sump pumps are now reaching the end of their life. Churchill Meadows and Lisgar are newer, and the towers around Square One have added thousands of condo units that share risers, stacks and building rules.

Rooter Brothers works across Mississauga for homeowners, landlords, condo owners and businesses. We clear drains, repair sewer laterals, fix leaks, install backwater valves and sump pumps, and answer emergencies around the clock at (647) 449-5665.

Why Mississauga Homeowners Call a Drain Specialist First

When a Mississauga basement takes on water, the first question is where it came from. Sewage through the floor drain means the sanitary line backed up. Clean water along the walls points to groundwater, a failed sump pump or a downspout draining too close to the foundation. As Rooter Brothers, we put a camera in the line before anyone talks about digging, so you pay for the fix you actually need.

The same licensed team takes care of everyday plumbing repairs: a running toilet in a Clarkson townhouse, a seized shut-off valve in a Meadowvale semi, a leak under the sink in a City Centre condo. Mississauga shares Peel Region with Brampton, so our Brampton plumbers and Mississauga crews work under the same Region of Peel rules.

What Breaks Most Often in Mississauga Plumbing

These are the problems that fill our Mississauga schedule:

  • Basement flooding after intense summer storms like the ones that hit the city in July and August 2024
  • Sewer backups in older lakeshore neighbourhoods such as Port Credit, Lakeview and Mineola, where clay laterals run under large trees
  • Basement apartments and second units overloading a main drain that was sized for one family
  • Original sump pumps and shut-off valves failing in 1970s and 80s homes in Erin Mills and Meadowvale
  • Condo leaks around Square One and the Hurontario corridor that reach the units below
  • Grease and heavy-use drain problems in restaurants and plazas along Dundas and Hurontario and in the Malton industrial area
  • Frozen pipes in bonus rooms built over garages, a common layout in newer Mississauga subdivisions

Recognize one of these? Call (647) 449-5665. We dispatch to every part of Mississauga 24/7, and a licensed plumber quotes the job before work begins.

Mississauga Plumbing and Drain Services

Our licensed plumbers handle Mississauga homes, condos and commercial units from the first call to the final test. We also provide hydro jetting, drain snaking, trenchless pipe bursting and basement waterproofing across the city.

Sewage in a Cooksville basement or a burst pipe in a Lakeview bungalow at 2 a.m.? A real person answers and a licensed plumber is dispatched.

Kitchen, laundry, bathroom and main line clogs cleared, then flow-tested so you know the line runs full before we leave.

Cracked, sagging or root-filled laterals in older Mississauga neighbourhoods repaired or replaced, trenchless when the line allows.

Buying in Port Credit or Applewood? A camera inspection shows the condition of the sewer lateral before you waive conditions.

Installed with a City of Mississauga building permit and an itemized invoice for your Region of Peel rebate application.

New pumps, replacements and battery backups for basements in neighbourhoods that flooded in the 2024 storms.

Safe thawing and burst pipe repair, plus insulation for pipes in rooms over garages and along exterior walls.

Water bill jumped or a stain on the ceiling? We trace hidden leaks in walls, floors and condo suites.

Plumbing for restaurants, plazas, offices and warehouses from Square One to Malton and the airport industrial area.

Two Levels of Flood Rebates: Region of Peel and City of Mississauga

Mississauga homeowners can draw on two separate programs, and the difference matters. The Region of Peel Sanitary Backwater Valve Rebate covers 60% of the invoice, up to $1,500 including tax, for a backwater valve on the sanitary lateral of a detached, semi or townhouse. The valve must be installed by a licensed contractor after July 16, 2024, with a City of Mississauga building permit and a passed inspection, and the rebate is limited to one per home every ten years.

The City of Mississauga runs its own Basement Flooding Prevention Rebate, with up to $6,800 for eligible measures such as a storm-side backwater valve and a sump pump, plus a Flood Resilience Rebate of 50% up to $3,000 for flood-resistant upgrades. Each program has its own form and its own contractor requirements.

We pull the permit, install the work, book the inspection and give you the itemized invoice each application asks for. Your water and sewer mains are run by Peel Region, so if the whole street loses water, call Peel. If it is just your home, call us. Program rules and intake periods change, so we confirm current eligibility and paperwork with you before you book.

What a Plumber Costs in Mississauga

Most Mississauga jobs are priced by what failed and how easy it is to reach. A clogged main in an unfinished Malton basement is a quick visit. A collapsed lateral under a Mineola maple, or a leak inside a City Centre condo where the building has to shut a riser, takes more planning. A licensed plumber sees the problem first, and you approve the price before work starts.

Mississauga Plumbing Questions, Answered

Most common repairs in Mississauga fall between $150 and $900. A blocked main drain usually runs $250 to $500, and a burst pipe repair $350 to $900. Backwater valves and sewer lateral work are quoted on site after a camera inspection. You always get a written price before we start.

Yes. Rooter Brothers answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays, and dispatches a licensed plumber anywhere in Mississauga, from Port Credit to Malton.

They cover different work. The Region of Peel rebate is for a backwater valve on the sanitary lateral, while the City of Mississauga Basement Flooding Prevention Rebate covers measures such as storm-side backwater valves and sump pumps. Each program has its own form and rules, so we confirm what your home qualifies for before you book.

Yes. A backwater valve requires a City of Mississauga building permit and an inspection before the valve is covered, and the Peel rebate is only paid after the inspection passes. We handle the permit and book the inspection as part of the job.

Peel Region maintains the sewer and water mains under the street. The private lateral from your house to the property line is generally the homeowner’s responsibility, and that is where most roots, cracks and backups happen. A camera inspection shows which side the problem is on.

Marco and his team showed up within 2 hours of us reaching out about a mysterious leak, and we discovered that we were actually having a plumbing emergency as our sewer line backed up because it was full of debris. The team cleared up the backup on the first visit, and gave us a detailed report with high quality videos to submit to our home insurance carrier. Our insurance company said the report was textbook perfect and we were able to get our claim approved in record time! The team returned to replace the sewer line and got it done in a day. They were very communicative throughout the process. They looked exceptionally coordinated and they kept the worksite neat and tidy. Multiple neighbors commented on how impressed they were with the professionalism they observed from the team. They supplied another video after the work was done to show the new sewer line working well. What could have been an extremely stressful situation was very calm thanks to their quality of service. I can't recommend these guys highly enough!!!

Had a plumbing emergency on the weekend and Rooter Brothers were able to send someone out. Steven was the plumber who came and he was really good. He checked everything, explained what the issue was, and got it fixed. I liked that he didn’t try to overcomplicate things or push anything extra. Just straight forward, polite, and professional. Not cheap having an emergency call on a weekend, but I was happy with the service and glad they were available. Would call them again.

Their team was punctual which was great because I was on a tight schedule that day. They made sure I understood what needed to be done and why and we thoroughly reviewed all our options. My issues were taken care of in a timely manner and I didn’t feel over charged. Will definitely use this company again in the future.
